Recently my parents and I went on a two week long road trip down south.
First we went to Virginia to see my uncle and then later D.C. Then we visited a friend of mine at Charlottesville then went down to Charlotte, N.C. to see my aunt and uncle. Afterwards we went to Anderson, S.C. to see my step aunt and her family. Then we headed to Cincinnati, O.H. to visit more family and a friend of mine. Before we headed home we stopped by Pittsburgh, P.A. to see two of my friends there.
It was a blast because we got to see many relatives and friends. My parents counted that we saw over 40 relatives and friends in total.
I was lucky enough to visit some cousins and aunts from my step side of the family. Also I got to see some of my best friends from high school and college.
We went to four museums and galleries during the trip: The National Gallery of Art, the Hirshhorn Gallery, the Cincinnati Art Museum, and the Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati.
We also went on two house tours: Monticello and Fallingwater.
There were two architecture schools I saw: University of Virginia and University of Cincinnati. Both are really good schools.
Overall the experience was good, except that I didn’t like to sit in the car for long. But I definitely suggest a road trip to anyone, at least once in awhile.
