It has occurred to me that almost all the police officers in almost every country wear dark uniforms. Thus I wonder why.
Take United States as an example, most police officers wear black or dark navy colors. I suggest they all wear white. This is symbolic because white usually signifies purity. Don’t we want the law enforcement to be pure and just, like how laws should be?
Perhaps the reason that police officers don’t wear white is because dirt will be more apparent on the uniform and thus the uniforms themselves would have to be washed more often. But this is a good thing because the police officers will then have to think twice about stopping petty crimes. Though most likely not.
I truly think if all police officers wore white then the general public will have a better image of them, despite the fact that they might look like sailors.
